This morning I was browsing the Internet looking for a new dog bed for Sophie. Why, you ask? Let me take you back a couple of days. The other evening, we were doing some laundry and Jerry decided he would wash Sophie’s blankets. I was highly involved with looking at my iPhone as he was asking for instructions on how to wash her dog bed. I was muttering, “yes,” ”a ha,” “ya, the pillowcases,” clearly preoccupied with what I was doing but perturbed by his lack of common sense when it comes to washing a dog bed. Why was he bothering me with this. Just figure it out. I’m busy. In the morning, what did I find? You got it, he washed the pillow filled with the foam. Sophie lost her dog bed. We haven’t made it out to shop for a new one, so the poor thing has been sleeping on a dog bed that is too small for her and she flops off. This morning, finding her a new one was my top priority.
Sophie loves nothing more than to lie on a pile of blankets. The problem is, they get soiled rather quickly due to her condition. After shopping on the Internet to find her a new one, I stumbled across the idea of stuffing her liner with old blankets. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it before, but now that I’ve been seen the idea, I love it. I still had the waterproof liner and the duvet cover from her now deceased dog bed and a mountain of old blankets that I use for her. So I stuffed some old blankets into the waterproof liner and then covered it with the duvet cover. I will admit, I’m not a very resourceful person. I’m product driven and I love to shop, but I am trying to save money and be better to the environment. This fit both of those criteria perfectly.
I’m very happy with our new bed, and Sophie seems to agree.
